School Principal: Manitr Khamngam
CAF Liaison Officer: Kwanchanok Muenkham and Tanapol Pachoei

CAF provides educational support to the Bangkok School for the Blind, which is managed by the Foundation for the Blind under The Patronage of H.M. Queen Sirikit of Thailand.

The Bangkok School for the Blind was originally established by Ms.Genevieve Caulfield (1888 - 1972), an American blind school teacher, on January 2,1939, at her small rental house on Saladaeng Road. With her determination of helping the blind in Thailand, Ms. Caulfield and several Thai university students developed Braille in Thai language for the first time. Her awards included recognition from the Japanese government for strengthening lationships between Japan and the United States (1960), The Magsaysay Award for International Understanding (1961), the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President John F. Kenedy in recognition of her work for the blind in Asia (1963), and the Thai decoration fifth class (Benjamaporn White Elephant) from The King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand (1965).

Ms. Caulfield died in Bangkok in 1972, but the work she started continues to grow.

The Bangkok School for the Blind is a primary and secondary school serving children who are visually impaired. The school's philosophy is to educate students and integrate them into mainstream schools, after attaining sufficient skills, moving from special to regular education.
