"Program Manager, Community Outreach"


DUTIES: Plan, organize and coordinate the organization’s community outreach activities. Oversee the program, the organization’s budget and policies. Establish and maintain relationships with agencies, organizations and schools to gain insight of existing art programs within the community. Direct activities of volunteers and staff members to ensure the organization’s art programs are at the appropriate quality, effectively using available resources and consistent with the teaching plan created by the organization. Create fundraising strategies and oversee corporate/individual fundraising plan and its implementation, including identification and analysis of potential funding sources. Responsible for grants and contracts management including negotiating agreement terms that reflect the organization’s needs as well as liaising with legal advisors to ensure fulfillment of agreements. Prepare and maintain records and reports, such as budgets, personnel records or teaching plans for the boards’ review. Conduct research and analysis of community needs, and identify new initiatives and partnerships in the U.S. and abroad with regard to the organization’s operations and expansion. Liaise with community groups and schools to explain and interpret organization’s purposes, programs and policies.

HOURS: 9:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.; Monday – Friday; 40 hrs/wk

 

REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in Nonprofit Management and/or Sociology plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Project Coordinator, Community Service Manager and/or related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
