Meredythe Goethe

- International Intern - Thailand 2009-2010

- Grant Research Intern 2008

Meredythe completed a combined BFA at Tufts University and The Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts. Additionally, she has studied at Central Saint Martins in London, England and with the National Outdoor Leadership School in Broome, Australia.

Meredythe’s work consists primarily of monoprints and monotypes assembled into artist’s books. Her process includes integrating creative writing into her images, often producing a progression of illustrated poems in a series of books. Reoccurring themes include sexuality and emerging identity through rites of passage, including the Australian Walkabout and the American Road Trip. As the recipient of both a liberal and fine arts education, Meredythe hopes to utilize these skills as a working artist to communicate the importance of individual self-expression in the developing child. Meredythe is very excited to serve Children Art Foundation as an intern and to work and learn in this stimulating and challenging environment.
